Tea blending is the blending of different teas together to produce a final product. This occurs chiefly with black tea that is blended to make most tea bags but can also occur with such teas as Pu-erh, where leaves are blended from different regions before being compressed.
We mix tea of different grades or origin as per the customer specification to achieve the required unique tastes while maintaining the highest standards in the industry.
Tea is also a very fragile plant with the ability to easily receive any aroma, which works against it sometimes during the manufacturing process or transportation. We as tea blenders will however be able to use this fragility to our advantage and stabilize it to create beautiful blends.
The most important factor in creating a tea blend is the intrinsic factor of emotions. Tea blending can be an exercise of empathy where tea leaves and herbs, when put together, are used to invoke a feeling or to tell a story of your own.
